As you’re almost certainly aware, after every Orioles win this season, Glenn determines a “Man Of The Match,” which some have called “the highest honor in all of sports.”
In addition to the social media recognition, the player’s face also goes into a featured position on our “Never Lose Ever” board in the studio.
We received requests to keep an updated tally of how many “Man Of The Match” nods each player has received for the season. We’ll keep that tally here and update it regularly.
Samuel Basallo had a great night in the Orioles’ 7-5 win over the Royals April 20. He worked a couple of walks and made some solid plays behind the plate before saving the day with a game-tying RBI single when the O’s were down to their last strike in the 9th inning…before adding another big RBI hit in the 12th. It was enough to nail down his first #MaOfTheMatch honor of the season.
