Here at Glenn Clark Radio, we always reflect on the Baltimore Ravens game in a more jovial manner.  In retrospect, we like to choose five players on the team who — depending on the outcome of the game — deserve a Pat On The Ass or Slap To The Helmet.

The rules are simple: pick two players on defense, two players on offense, and one “wild card” (an offensive player, defensive player, special teamer or coach) who stuck out from the pack.

As you all are aware, the Ravens went into Pittsburgh and beat the Steelers to stay atop the AFC North right alongside the Bengals. As a result, we have some Ass Pats to hand out.

They will count down in sequential order before we name the ultimate prize — Two Pats on the Ass. That one player who one single Pat just wouldn’t sit right.

Without further adieu:

Glenn’s Pats on the Ass:

5. DL Broderick Washington

There were lots of good options for a second defensive player. I don’t know if Broderick Washington was the best but I feel like his impact deserves to be recognized, both batting down balls and making plays in the backfield.

4. EDGE/ST Calais Campbell

The field goal block clearly proved to be absolutely massive.

3. OT Ronnie Stanley

What a difference a Ronnie Stanley makes.

2. RB J.K. Dobbins

And he’s not even at 100% yet.

1. LB Roquan Smith (two pats)

He’s such a monster.

Griffin’s Pats on the Ass:

5. RB JK Dobbins

Ran very well in his first game back and I honestly thought he looked better running than before the injury, he was running downhill more and I’ll look for him to finish longer runs moving forward.

4. K Justin Tucker

All-time points leader in franchise history. He made sure we won that game, we take him for granted and he NEVER misses in that stadium.

3. DE Calais Campbell

I could probably put anyone on the defensive line here, but Calais led the way as they completely neutralized the Steelers run game, forcing Mitch Trubisky to throw, which he wasn’t great at. The FG Block was huge, too.

2. C Tyler Linderbaum

The run game was dominant, that starts with the brawlers up front. Ronnie Stanley and Morgan Moses could be here too but I’m going with Linderbaum, he was steamrolling guys and the long Dobbins run was set up after Linderbaum sealed his block and created a VALLEY for JK to run through.

1. LB Roquan Smith (two pats)

He has been a freaking animal. Locked himself in as my No. 1 before halftime.

Carson Weekly’s Pats on the Ass:

5. DT Broderick Washington

Solo tackle on Najee and batted down a pass on 3rd down during the Steelers second drive.

4. ST/DE Calais Campbell

Blocked FG was the difference in the game.

3. LT Ronnie Stanley

Big impact him being back.

2. LB Roquan Smith

A sack, an interception…

1. RB JK Dobbins (two pats)

120 yards and a TD…

You can hear the boys discuss their selections for ‘Pats’ by listening below, you can also hear as we recap the weekly Picks Contest on GCR. Glenn lost the side bet with Griffin and Ken Zalis so he will have to take the Tapeworm Shot on Thursday while dressed as the Jaguars mascot (wearing the American flag speedo) as he pays off two bets as once. The updated standings are down there as well…
