Here at Glenn Clark Radio, we always reflect on the Baltimore Ravens game in a more jovial manner.  In retrospect, we like to choose five players on the team who — depending on the outcome of the game — deserve a Pat On The Ass or Slap To The Helmet.

The rules are simple: pick two players on defense, two players on offense, and one “wild card” (an offensive player, defensive player, special teamer or coach) who stuck out from the pack.

As you are all aware, the Ravens trudged up to Cleveland and scored a measly 3 points. As a result, we have some Helmet Slaps to dish out.

They will count down in sequential order before we name the ultimate prize — Two Slaps on the Helmet. That one player (or in most cases, coach) who one single Slap just doesn’t sit right.

Without further adieu:

Glenn’s Slaps to the Helmet:

5. EDGE Justin Houston

After being a revelation in the first half of the season, he’s been largely a non-factor.

4. LB Patrick Queen

It’s not like he had a bad game. It just wasn’t ideal that he had the inside on the touchdown and instead went outside and cut off Marlon Humphrey to boot.

3. WR Demarcus Robinson

You can’t be a replacement level player AND have a flaw as fatal as his ball security.

2. QB Tyler Huntley

I know he’s a backup quarterback. But even by that standard he played poorly.

1. OC Greg Roman (two slaps)

I don’t think I need to explain further.

Griffin’s Slaps to the Helmet:

5. LB Patrick Queen

Why do we even bother putting him in coverage? Lets DPJ walk into the endzone.

4. WR Demarcus Robinson

Could be any pass-catcher here but his fumble was telegraphed. BAD.

3. EDGE Odafe Oweh

I’ll ask again, where are you?

2. OC Greg Roman

It’s over. He’ll be here through the season but is a dead man walking in Baltimore. 194 rush yards through three quarters and proceeds to run it once the rest of the game…

1. QB Tyler Huntley (two slaps)

He was bad, horrible actually. Time to call Cam Newton.

Carson’s Slaps to the Helmet:

5. LB Patrick Queen

Awful coverage on the Peoples-Jones TD, outside leverage on a play where his zone was the middle.

4.  EDGE Justin Houston

Face-mask penalty and was a non-factor in the pass rush.

3. WR Demarcus Robinson

Fumbles.

2. OC Greg Roman

Awful play calling. Second down and then three straight passes, asking a lot of Huntley on the 4th down pass moving to his right.

1. QB Tyler Huntley (two slaps)

56 QBR, bad decision making.

You can hear the guys’ explanation for this Slaps below and also hear as they recap the weekend in the GCR Picks Contest, a week that saw Carson and Griffin tie for last, meaning they well settle their side-bet on Wednesday morning by downing a pint of Eggnog during the show.

Here’s a look at the updated standings as well, Andrew Stetka still comfortably on the bottom:
