Here at Glenn Clark Radio, we always reflect on the Baltimore Ravens game in a more jovial manner. In retrospect, we like to choose five players on the team who — depending on the outcome of the game — deserve a Pat On The Ass or Slap To The Helmet.
The rules are simple: pick two players on defense, two players on offense, and one “wild card” (an offensive player, defensive player, special teamer or coach) who stuck out from the pack.
As you all are surely aware, the Ravens beat the Panthers yesterday, albeit in a bit of an ugly fashion, but a win is a win. As a result, we have some Ass Pats to hand out.
They will count down in sequential order before we name the ultimate prize — Two Pats on the Ass. That one player who one single Pat just wouldn’t sit right.
Without further adieu:
Glenn’s Week 11 Pats On The Ass:
5. TE Mark Andrews
It was obviously great to have him back yesterday and he looked very Mark Andrews-esque.
4. CB Marlon Humphrey
He played 41 snaps in coverage (according to PFF). He was targeted twice. He allowed zero completions and added an interception and a fumble recovery. Not bad.
3. LB Roquan Smith
He had a good day numerically and yet somehow the numbers don’t define how insanely good he’s been.
2. WR Demarcus Robinson
I can’t tell you if this is going to continue but it is a more than welcome turn of events.
1. LB Patrick Queen (two pats)
The best player on the field. A Pro Bowler. What he’s doing is incredible.
Griffin’s Week 11 Pats On The Ass:
5. WR Demarcus Robinson
Career day, stepped up huge without Bateman, going to need him to have to keep this up.
4. TE Mark Andrews
D-Rob was everywhere but there was one guy Lamar was throwing to on third downs and he made himself open every time.
3. DE Calais Campbell
Calais was everywhere: Sack, 2 QB hits, TFL, and a contributor on Special Teams.
2. CB Marlon Humphrey
He was locked in yesterday, always in the right spot, fumble recovery and then in unreal interception. One of my favorite Ravens.
1. EDGE Jason Pierre-Paul (two pats)
JPP was my top defender, a stat sheet stuffer yesterday and deservedly so coming up with the game sealing interception.
We also recapped our weekly picks contest on GCR on Monday, here’s last week’s results with updated standings, and still a runaway for last place…
