Surely you’re familiar with how we like to recap the Ravens game following Sunday, by dishing out either some ‘Pats on the Ass’ or ‘Slaps to the Helmet’ depending on the result of the game. And with the Ravens sitting at 1-5 coming out of the bye week, you can imagine how many more Slaps have been dealt than Pats.

The rules are simple: pick two players on defense, two players on offense, and one “wild card” (an offensive player, defensive player, special teamer or coach) who stuck out from the pack.

With the Ravens on bye, Glenn and Griffin picked their five Ravens most deserving of a Pat on the Ass thanks to their positive contributions through 6 games, and their five Ravens most deserving of scorn through 6 games and earning some Slaps to the Helmet. Let’s get into it!

They will count down in sequential order. Without further adieu:

Glenn Clark’s Bye Week Pats:

5. CB Nate Wiggins

It hasn’t all been great but there have been enough positive moments to warrant him making a list with a very low bar.

4. WR Zay Flowers

Again, the bar is so low that either Flowers or Derrick Henry was going to have to make it despite their fumble issues. Since Flowers’ were contained to one game, he gets the edge.

3. LT Ronnie Stanley

If only he could stay healthy.

2. QB Lamar Jackson

Seriously, this is how low the bar is. He hasn’t played in two and a half games!

1. S Kyle Hamilton

But this is kinda like being the prettiest girl at fat camp right now.

Griffin Bass’s Bye Week Pats:

5. RB Justice Hill

He’s had to play a lot, and has looked good in every facet when he does play. The question of should be playing another thing.

4. SPT Jake Hummel

The Ravens sucked in Special Teams last year, he’s helped flip that script, one of the few things they do well now. The blocked punt was huge for that Cleveland game, plus, he came on the show with us.

3. LB Teddye Buchanan

He was given an opportunity and seized it. It’s fun to watch him as he develops through the good and the bad.

2. CB Nate Wiggins

I’ve been really impressed with him, the near pick six vs Cleveland and maybe this is where recency bias is factoring in but he locked up Davante Adams two weeks ago and yesterday in London Davante reminded us he’s definitely still Davante Adams.

1. QB Lamar Jackson

This one was not difficult for me, you see, he’s Lamar Jackson.

Glenn’s Bye Week Slaps:

5. OL Andrew Vorhees

Because he was better against the Rams, he only has to be #5 on this list.

4. EDGE Mike Green

He’s a rookie, so I’m trying to go easy on him but he has been nonexistent.

3. CB Jaire Alexander

Speaking of which, Mike Green thinks Jaire Alexander has been a non-factor.

2. OL Daniel Faalele

Something has to give.

1. DC Zachary Orr

And yes, if not for the rules, John Harbaugh would be #2.

Griffn’s Bye Week Slaps:

5. DC Zach Orr

Defense has sucked, a lot of it falls on the players in my opinion, the organization clearly believes that. The injuries also play a factor, but again–recency bias kicking in here–Robert Selah has guys we’ve never heard of in our lives playing defense for the 49ers and he held the Falcons to 10 points last night.

4. EDGE Mike Green

He’s a highly touted prospect and has looked anything but in the NFL… and he wears #45.

3. DL Travis Jones

He’s been a non-factor. The run defense has been dreadful, he’s not sucking up enough double teams to help the pass rush. I just really miss Nnamdi Madubuike.

2. RG Daniel Faalele

Hate to be unoriginal, but just watch #77 every play.

1. RB Derrick Henry

The fumbles. Period.
