Here at Glenn Clark Radio, we always reflect on the Baltimore Ravens game in a more jovial manner. In retrospect, we like to choose five players on the team who — depending on the outcome of the game — deserve a Pat On The Ass or Slap To The Helmet.
The rules are simple: pick two players on defense, two players on offense, and one “wild card” (an offensive player, defensive player, special teamer or coach) who stuck out from the pack.
As we all saw yesterday, in dramatic fashion, the Ravens defeated the LA Rams in overtime, as a result, we have some Ass Pats to hand out.
They will count down in sequential order before we name the ultimate prize — Two Pats on the Ass. That one player who one single Pat just wouldn’t sit right.
Without further adieu:
Glenn’s Week 14 Pats:
5. DL Justin Madubuike
I know he “only” had the one sack but his five QB hits were significant and forced Matthew Stafford to get the ball out quicker on other occasions.
4. EDGE Kyle Van Noy
He made what was to me the biggest defensive play of the day when he brought down Kyren Williams for an 8 yard loss to knock the Rams out of field goal range. It was particularly important because they had just gone ahead and had the chance to build momentum.
3. PR Tylan Wallace
Some might be inclined to put him at the top of the list because of the return but A-it was one play and B-it has to be measured against a costly penalty that wiped away a punt and lead to points for the Rams. But what a moment it was.
2. WR Odell Beckham Jr.
It’s so hard to leave Zay Flowers off the list but I thought Beckham was the best receiver on the field and has become Lamar’s most reliable target in the aftermath of the Andrews injury.
1. QB Lamar Jackson (Man Of The Match)
The sequence after the phantom sack is one of the best in his career.
Griffin’s Week 14 Pats:
5. LB Roquan Smith
The dude just doesn’t ever take a play off. The definition of consistency, a tone-setter for this defense.
4. DL Justin Madubuike
Talk about tone-setter. The early sack of Stafford on 3rd down was huge and was a precursor of what was to come, Stafford did a good job of getting the ball out but Madubuike had him constantly under pressure… Tough to leave Travis Jones out, but 5 QB hits from JM is ridiculous stuff.
3. WR Zay Flowers
He was unreal on that go-ahead drive in regulation. Unbelievable. Maybe it should be Nelson Agholor for calling the play but Zay made the plays. I keep saying it since I don’t believe it yet: we finally found one.
2. QB Lamar Jackson
Just shy of 400 total yards of offense by himself, made play after play after play, what he did on the final drive of regulation is why you give him the money he deserves.
1. PR Tylan Wallace (Man of the Match)
He will live on forever in Ravens-lore on what was a really, really impressive punt return for a TD.

We also recapped the weekend in picks, as Griffin continues to cement himself in ‘Scott Stapp’ position as vice-loser… here’s the updated table with last week’s results:
