You know the drill by now, but if you’re new, here at Glenn Clark Radio, we always try to reflect on the most recent Ravens game in a more convivial manner.  In retrospect, we like to choose five players on the team who — depending on the outcome of the game — deserve a Pat On The Ass or Slap To The Helmet.

The rules are simple: pick two players on defense, two players on offense, and one “wild card” (an offensive player, defensive player, special teamer or coach) who stuck out from the pack.

We’re all well aware now, the Ravens dropped 41 points in a dismantling of the Broncos and their top defense, as a result, we have some Ass Pats to hand out.

They will count down in sequential order before we name the ultimate prize — Two Pats on the Ass. That one player who one single Pat just wouldn’t sit right.

Without further adieu:

Glenn’s Pats on the Ass:

5. LB Trenton Simpson

Perhaps it feels blasphemous to leave Derrick Henry off the list after he had 100 yards but A-it felt like the 100 thing was a little forced and B-the story of the game wasn’t really about him. Meanwhile Trenton Simpson finally started to look like a difference maker, which could play massive dividends for this team.

4. EDGE Tavius Robinson

Speaking of which, this could be a significant development too.

3. Safety Kyle Hamilton

This is not a development. He’s Kyle Hamilton. He’s great.

2. WR Zay Flowers

Mike Golic Jr. compared him to Tyreek Hill. That’s probably too much but I get it.

1. QB Lamar Jackson (two pats)

Comparing anyone else to Lamar Jackson would definitively be too much.

Griffin’s Pats on the Ass:

5. Safety Kyle Hamilton

Considered Roquan here for the 4th down stop early in the game, but no one deserved it more than Hamilton who was great as usual, PBUs and TFLs, so he once again makes the list.

4. RB Derrick Henry

Almost seems disrespectful putting him at #4 on this list because he just continues to churn the same exact stat line every week. He’s a battering ram. As he said, shoutout the offensive of course as well.

3. OLB Tavius Robinson

Robinson had a great game, 2 sacks, 4 QB hits, batted a pass. The Broncos offense definitely conspired against itself but T-Rob had a great day.

2. QB Lamar Jackson

Surgical. Let’s just keep listening to things Derrick Henry says, ‘MV3’:

1. WR Zay Flowers (two pats)

This is what it feels like to have a true #1 WR. Doesn’t feel real. And that play before the half was incredible. Excellent game.

The guys recapped the week in ‘Picks’ as well on Monday, Glenn starting to get some separation at the bottom of the table!
