Here at Glenn Clark Radio, we always reflect on the Baltimore Ravens game in a more jovial manner. In retrospect, we like to choose five players on the team who — depending on the outcome of the game — deserve a Pat On The Ass or Slap To The Helmet.
The rules are simple: pick two players on defense, two players on offense, and one “wild card” (an offensive player, defensive player, special teamer or coach) who stuck out from the pack.
As you must be aware, the Ravens took down the Atlanta Falcons at home in the coldest game in franchise history 17-9 in a Christmas Eve Saturday game. As a result, we have some Ass Pats to dish out.
They will count down in sequential order before we name the ultimate prize — Two Pats on the Ass. That one player who one single Pat just wouldn’t sit right.
Without further adieu:
Glenn’s Week 16 Pats on the Ass:
5. RB J.K. Dobbins
He wasn’t the story, but he still ran for five yards a clip.
4. TE Mark Andrews
It was just really nice to see him involved again.
3. LB Roquan Smith
What a monster.
2. CB Marlon Humphrey
Made the biggest play of the game.
1. RB Gus Edwards (two pats)
The best player on the field.
Griffin’s Week 16 Pats on the Ass:
5. Safety Kyle Hamilton
He was all over the field, wasn’t stuffing the stat sheet but obviously makes a massive difference when on the field.
4. RT Morgan Moses
He was moving mass all day and was the best of the O-lineman.
3. RB Gus Edwards
Ran straight downhill. They could’ve played 12 quarters and it looked like he was going to average 10 yards per carry.
2. CB Marlon Humphrey
The forced fumble, plus he played like an all-pro against the top WR taken in the draft as our only trustworthy corner available (which is really been the case all season).
1. LB Roquan Smith (two pats)
Analysis: Really good at the football.
Glenn and Griffin also recapped the weekly GCR Picks Contest that saw Andrew Stetka struggle but unfortunately doesn’t matter in terms of the Duke’s Mayo Bath side-bet that Glenn tragically will have to take this week. You can listen to the segment in whole below as well as hear the boys’ Pats on the Ass explanation.
