Here at Glenn Clark Radio, we always reflect on the Baltimore Ravens game in a more jovial manner.  In retrospect, we like to choose five players on the team who — depending on the outcome of the game — deserve a Pat On The Ass or Slap To The Helmet.

The rules are simple: pick two players on defense, two players on offense, and one “wild card” (an offensive player, defensive player, special teamer or coach) who stuck out from the pack.

As you all are surely aware, the Ravens lost in near spectacular fashion to the Colts in Week 3, and as a result, we have some Helmet Slaps to dish out.

They will count down in sequential order before we name the ultimate prize — Two Slaps On The Helmet. That one player who one single Slap just doesn’t sit right.

Without further adieu:

Glenn Clark’s Week 3 Slaps To The Helmet:

5. LB Jeremiah Moon

It’s hard to criticize Jeremiah Moon because, well, it’s like Dante in Clerks. “I’m not even supposed to be here today.” But failing to pick up (or at least fall on) Gardner Minshew’s fumble at the end of the half was the difference in at least some amount of points.

4. LB Patrick Queen

It’s not that I think he played poorly. It’s that he gave up the only touchdown of the day on the wheel route to Zack Moss and on a day where it was hard to choose defensive players, it was enough for him to make the list.

3. TE Isaiah Likely

There’s no way around it. It was a critical drop in a critical moment. I was between Likely and Kenyan Drake and ultimately decided upon Likely because to me, he’s a bigger part of the story for the Ravens than Drake is.

2. QB Lamar Jackson

Jackson wasn’t nearly as bad as we want to believe he was yesterday. He completed 70 percent of his passes and finished with over 300 yards of offense. But the mistakes were critical, none more than taking the sack at the end of regulation. Can’t happen.

1. HC John Harbaugh (two slaps)

We can nitpick about other issues but there’s no debating how disastrous the fair catch was. While the miscommunication might have been understandable considering the clock confusion, there’s no getting around what a failure it was to not call a timeout and make sure everyone was on the same page.

Griffin Bass’ Week 3 Slaps To The Helmet:

5. K Justin Tucker

He’s the greatest of all time, with that comes expectations. It’s absurd that to expect him to win the game on a 61-yard field goal, but that’s what the offense believed his range was and they got him there.

4. LB Patrick Queen

The Zack Moss touchdown was bad, he looked like a blind squirrel, he’s looked much better but I don’t trust him at all in coverage.

3. CB Brandon Stephens

He’s a victim of circumstance, but this guy STINKS. I’d be throwing in his direction every play too.

2. QB Lamar Jackson

Ball security and bad sacks. Simple as that, can’t have it.

1. RB Kenyan Drake (two slaps)

Feels unfair, he got here Wednesday morning, but the fumble changed the trajectory of the game. You have one job.

On Mondays, we also recap the weekend in the GCR Picks Contest, here is a look at the updated standings following NFL Week 3’s results:
