You know the drill! But if you’re new, here at Glenn Clark Radio, we always try to reflect on the most recent Ravens game in a more convivial manner. In retrospect, we like to choose five players on the team who — depending on the outcome of the game — deserve a ‘Pat On The Ass’ or ‘Slap To The Helmet.’
The rules are simple: pick two players on defense, two players on offense, and one “wild card” (an offensive player, defensive player, special teamer or coach) who stuck out from the pack.
Another win for our Ravens, they’re back to .500 on the season and very much in the AFC Playoff picture as well as AFC North division race, it wasn’t pretty but nothing ever is in Cleveland, so we’ll take it! Here is how Glenn and Griffin saw things playing out Sunday as we dish out our Pats on the Ass for the top performers:
They will count down in sequential order before we name the ultimate prize — Two Pats on the Ass. That one player who one single Pat just wouldn’t sit right.
Without further adieu:
Glenn Clark’s Week 11 Pats:
5. RB Derrick Henry
He, legally speaking, finished with a 100 yard rushing day-although we know it’s based on one play. But it was awfully tough to pick two offensive players yesterday so “one big play” might be a theme.
4. TE Mark Andrews
And that’s called “foreshadowing.”
3. EDGE Dre’Mont Jones
Active throughout and of course timed up the pressure apparently perfectly on the Browns’ final snap. His pressure also set up Keyon Martin’s sack.
2. EDGE Kyle Van Noy
Thought it was his best game of the season, including a sack that was two seconds faster than any sack Myles Garrett had on the day. He had, on average, 4.1 yards of separation from the Browns’ QB’s. The league average is 4.58 yards.
1. S Kyle Hamilton (two pats)
The best player on the field not named Garrett-but the delay of game penalty was still silly.
Griffin Bass’s Week 11 Pats:
5. TE Mark Andrews
It was a really sluggish day offensively. Andrews broke the receiving record and obviously ‘Hurricane.’
4. RB Derrick Henry
A ho-hum day at the office, again. Behind that offensive line, maybe he deserves to be higher.
3. CB Chidobe Awuzie
Frankly, barely noticed that Marlon Humphrey wasn’t playing, and he came away with a game-winning PBU–three on the day.
2. DC Zach Orr
The defense was incredible. Orr really turned up the pressure in the second half. You’re facing rookie QBs, but that’s what you’re supposed to do and they gave up 9 points all game. Shedeur was either being sacked or hurried on every single 3rd down in the second half. ZO deserves his flowers here.
1. Safety Kyle Hamilton (two pats)
He’s just so good, pressure on the interception, some TFLs, that, and just about everything else.
