You know the drill by now, but if you’re new, here at Glenn Clark Radio, we always try to reflect on the most recent Ravens game in a more convivial manner.  In retrospect, we like to choose five players on the team who — depending on the outcome of the game — deserve a Pat On The Ass or Slap To The Helmet.

The rules are simple: pick two players on defense, two players on offense, and one “wild card” (an offensive player, defensive player, special teamer or coach) who stuck out from the pack.

As we all know, the Ravens took down our little brothers in DC yesterday with a very ho hum 30-23 over the Commanders, as a result, we have some Ass Pats to hand out.

They will count down in sequential order before we name the ultimate prize — Two Pats on the Ass. That one player who one single Pat just wouldn’t sit right.

Without further adieu:

Glenn’s Pats on the Ass:

5. S Kyle Hamilton

Just a very Kyle Hamilton-like, all of the field, play making day.

4. DL Travis Jones

What a massive season he’s had. The sack was tremendous but it’s so much more than that.

3. OL Daniel Faalele

Man. He’s really come around. Had a huge block on Lamar’s biggest run of the day, BOOKED it down the field on the early screen to Zay Flowers. He’s awesome. It hurts to leave Derrick Henry off the list but I thought the impact of Faalele was tough to ignore.

2. WR Zay Flowers

If it was just the first half, he’d be #1.

1. QB Lamar Jackson (two pats)

Still the best Lamar Jackson.

Griffin’s Pats on the Ass:

5. Safety Kyle Hamilton

Just a football player. Makes the other team not want to play against you. Didn’t fill up the stat sheet as much, but let others make plays, Marlon looks free-er because of him, Wiggins looked better. But Hamilton is the message sender, laying out Jayden Daniels + Terry McLaurin.

4. DL Travis Jones

Great game. Entire front was fantastic, Madubuike, Ngakoue and co., Commanders barely mustered 50 rushing yards yesterday and it’s because you can’t get by these guys. Since Travis registered sack #1 of his career, and what he’s done all season gets the nod no argument here.

3. WR Zay Flowers

Have a day. Not to discount Bateman’s game, who was huge on the final drive, but that was set up by Flowers torching them for the entire first half.

2. RB Derrick Henry

The ultimate closer in football.

1. QB Lamar Jackson (two pats)

Somehow an even better closer, but he’s also the opener and middle relief too.

The guys also recapped the week in ‘Picks’ as well, here is the updated table:
