Here at Glenn Clark Radio, we always reflect on the Baltimore Ravens game in a more jovial manner.  In retrospect, we like to choose five players on the team who — depending on the outcome of the game — deserve a Pat On The Ass or Slap To The Helmet.

The rules are simple: pick two players on defense, two players on offense, and one “wild card” (an offensive player, defensive player, special teamer or coach) who stuck out from the pack.

As you all are surely aware, the Ravens took down the Saints down in the bayou at the Superdome on Monday Night Football to wrap up NFL Week 9 as the birds head into the bye week. As a result, we have some Ass Pats to dish out.

They will count down in sequential order before we name the ultimate prize — Two Pats on the Ass. That one player who one single Pat just wouldn’t sit right.

Without further adieu:

Glenn’s Week 9 Pats to the Ass:

5. CB Marlon Humphrey

Not only did he have perfect coverage on New Orleans’ best touchdown chance (before the game was out of hand) but the sack was also huge and he just played really well in general.

4. RB Kenyan Drake

The first half was rough but the commitment to the run proved to be wise as he wore the Saints down in the second half.

3. QB Lamar Jackson

He wasn’t perfect but his elusiveness was massive and made a number of big time plays.

2. LB Roquan Smith

This is gonna work out great.

1. EDGE Justin Houston (two pats)

It’s almost impossible to explain this. It’s unbelievable.

Griffin’s Week 9 Pats to the Ass:

5. LT Ronnie Stanley

He looks all the way back, first game playing 100% of the offensive snaps in almost 2 years. Showing tremendous leadership on the line and the team as a whole, not backing down to Lamar and ultimately calming him down, it’s good to have Ronnie back.

4. RB Kenyan Drake

He’s been stepping up huge, added a more dynamic element to the offense last night that we weren’t sure was going to be there outside Lamar.

3. Lamar Jackson

Took care of the football, I imagine he’d be making the jaw-dropping plays if he had one other playmaker on the field with him, helped win the football game.

2. CB Marlon Humphrey

Fantastic in all aspects of defense, top tackler, a sack, great coverage, one of my favorite Ravens on and off the field.

1. EDGE Justin Houston (two pats)

Unquestionably the best player on the field last night, an ageless wonder as they say I believe.

On Tuesday, we also went over our weekly Picks Contest with a loser of Glenn, Griffin and Ken Zalis’s side-bet decided. KZ will have to consume a mayo and mint apple jelly sandwich on Thursday. Here’s a look at the weekend’s dreadful results and updated standings:
