Here at Glenn Clark Radio, we always reflect on the Baltimore Ravens game in a more jovial manner.  In retrospect, we like to choose five players on the team who — depending on the outcome of the game — deserve a Pat On The Ass or Slap To The Helmet.

The rules are simple: pick two players on defense, two players on offense, and one “wild card” (an offensive player, defensive player, special teamer or coach) who stuck out from the pack.

As you all are surely aware, the Ravens manhandled the Chargers in a lopsided performance, and as a result, we have some Ass Pats to hand out.

They will count down in sequential order before we name the ultimate prize — Two Pats on the Ass.  That one player who one single Pat just wouldn’t sit right.

Without further ado:

Glenn’s Pats on the Ass, Week 6:

  1. FB Patrick Ricard

They put him on the field a bit more and, what do you know?, they ran the ball better. Howsa bout that?

4. RB Latavius Murray

While Freeman may have finished with more yards, it was Murray who set the tone for the day on the ground.

3. TE Mark Andrews

He’s been an absolute monster of late.

2. S DeShon Elliott

It was quite nice to have him back.

1. LB Josh Bynes (two pats

We need to consider whether Josh Bynes can be the answer to more of life’s problems

Paul Valle’s Pats on the Ass, Week 5:

5. Josh Bynes

Josh was able to do something on Sunday that Ravens linebackers, and defenders in general, have struggled with this season: tackle. Bynes was solid against the run and good in coverage, recording a pass defensed and a tackle for a loss while tying for the team lead with six tackles.

4. Devonta Freeman

For the first time this season, Devonta looked to be a difference maker on offense. He ran downhill, hit his holes with authority, and was able to win races around the edge, totaling 53 yards and a TD on the ground.

3. Deshon Elliott

Deshon played maybe his finest game as a pro, tallying two passes defensed, a sack, and an interception. Deshon was all over the field on Sunday, and along with Chuck Clark, helped make the Ravens safeties a force to be reckoned with.

2. Mark Andrews

Old reliable, Andrews was Lamar Jackson’s go-to, as per usual, when the team needed to convert a first down, leading the pack with five catches on six targets for 68 yards and Jackson’s lone TD pass.

1. Marlon Humphrey

It had been a mediocre year for Marlon until Sunday, when he proved to be the lockdown corner that he is being paid to be. Justin Herbert had no success throwing Marlon’s way as he shadowed Mike Williams, the NFL’s leader in TD receptions, all day and held the standout receiver to just two catches for 27 yards.
