Here at Glenn Clark Radio, we always reflect on the Baltimore Ravens game in a more jovial manner.  In retrospect, we like to choose five players on the team who — depending on the outcome of the game — deserve a Pat On The Ass or Slap To The Helmet.

The rules are simple: pick two players on defense, two players on offense, and one “wild card” (an offensive player, defensive player, special teamer or coach) who stuck out from the pack.

As you all are surely aware, the Ravens beat the Chiefs in stunning fashion in Week 2, and as a result, we have some Ass Pats to hand out.

They will count down in sequential order before we name the ultimate prize — Two Pats on the Ass.  That one player who one single Pat just wouldn’t sit right.

Without further ado:

Glenn’s Pats on the Ass, Week 2:

5. CB Anthony Averett

This is the guy everyone was raving about during the course of Training Camp. This guy can play.

4. WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown

It’s a shame they missed on the bomb early in the game (not saying it’s his fault) but he’s been really tremendous on the whole to start the season.

3. OL Patrick Mekari

There’s a legitimate question to ask now about who plays right tackle once Ronnie Stanley returns.

2. LB Odafe Oweh

Off the top of my head, it’s hard to remember a home debut that went much better.

1. QB Lamar Jackson (two pats)

Do you realize how good you have to be in order to still be number one after that atrocious interception? THAT’S how good Lamar Jackson was. He was absolutely bonkers.

Zack Goodman’s Pats on the Ass, Week 2:

5. DL Justin Madubuike

The second year player was all over the field, stuffing many runs in the backfield and constantly being disruptive.

4. TE Mark Andrews

Andrews was there for Jackson all night, consistently finding himself open and available in crucial times.

3. WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown

Arguably the best game of Hollywood’s career where he went for over 100 and was open for Jackson across the middle all night.

2. LB Odafe Oweh

Even before the strip of Edwards-Helaire, Oweh was playing sideline to sideline, and containing Patrick Mahomes with pressure and his generational speed.

1. QB Lamar Jackson (two pats)

Lamar made a few early mistakes but put the team on his back and carried them back from an 11 point deficit with his running and passing heroics.
