Here at Glenn Clark Radio, we always reflect on the Baltimore Ravens game in a more jovial manner.  In retrospect, we like to choose five players on the team who — depending on the outcome of the game — deserve a Pat On The Ass or Slap To The Helmet.

The rules are simple: pick two players on defense, two players on offense, and one “wild card” (an offensive player, defensive player, special teamer or coach) who stuck out from the pack.

As you all are surely aware, the Ravens took a 1-point loss down in Jacksonville yesterday, and as a result, we have some Helmet Slaps to hand out.

They will count down in sequential order before we name the ultimate prize — Two Slaps to the Helmet. That one player who one single Slap just wouldn’t sit right.

Without further adieu:

Glenn Clark’s Week 12 Slaps:

5. WR Demarcus Robinson

I’m choosing to leave Lamar Jackson off the list because he did enough for me to look past his faux pas. But Robinson’s drop was critical and he appeared to stop running on the deep ball earlier in the route.

4. KR/PR/WR Devin Duvernay

Everything was a mess. No idea what he was doing on the disastrous kick return, he didn’t field the punt that was pinned at the 1. Just not great.

3. RB Gus Edwards

He didn’t run particularly well and the fumble was game-changing. He’s more likely to be part of the solution than the problem moving forward, but was a part of the problem yesterday.

2. CB Brandon Stephens

This is particularly disappointing because Stephens has felt like an ascending player.

1. CB Marcus Peters (two slaps)

The low point on what has been a difficult season.

Griffin’s Week 12 Slaps:

5. RB Gus Edwards

He wasn’t running well the entire game and then the fumble helped seal the Ravens fate.

4. EDGE Odafe Oweh

Where is he? He hasn’t done anything since…when? 40% snaps, Houston and JPP are playing over him and deservedly so.

3. CB Brandon Stephens

He’s been getting picked on all season, you knew that’s where the Jags were going on the 2-point conversion, he blew it.

2. CB Marcus Peters

Really bad game, he wanted nothing to do with Zay Jones the entire day.

1. QB Lamar Jackson (two slaps)

I have more frustration with Eric DeCosta than Lamar but at the end of the day, the loss falls on the QB. The fact is this is the supporting cast he has and he has to make it work, only completing 50% of his passes doesn’t cut it.
