You know the drill! But if you’re new, here at Glenn Clark Radio, we always try to reflect on the most recent Ravens game in a more convivial manner.  In retrospect, we like to choose five players on the team who — depending on the outcome of the game — deserve a ‘Pat On The Ass’ or ‘Slap To The Helmet.’

The rules are simple: pick two players on defense, two players on offense, and one “wild card” (an offensive player, defensive player, special teamer or coach) who stuck out from the pack.

And just like that the 5-game winning streak is no more and the Ravens don’t look like much of a threat to really anyone. An unmitigated disaster on Thanksgiving as Joe Burrow returns from injury and outplays Lamar Jackson. Time for our first Slaps to the Helmet in over a month, here’s how Glenn and Griffin seeing the board stack up… or down:

They will count down in sequential order before we name the ultimate prize — Two Slaps to the Helmet. That one player who one single Slap just wouldn’t sit right.

Without further adieu:

Glenn Clark’s Week 13 Slaps:

5. CB Marlon Humphrey

While Ja’Marr Chase wasn’t the singular story of the game, it was an unfavorable matchup when it occurred.

4. EDGE Dre’Mont Jones

After all of the good of his first few weeks in Baltimore, a non-factor last night (along with the rest of the edge rush).

3. OT Roger Rosengarten

The good news for Isiah Likely, Daniel Faalele and others is that the rules only allow for me to put one other offensive player on the list. Rosengarten speaks for the whole of the O-Line and had particular troubles on Jackson’s first fumble.

2. HC John Harbaugh

He said the turnovers were on him. It doesn’t work that way but plenty of what we saw does have to fall on him.

1. QB Lamar Jackson (two slaps)

It makes it so much worse that he actually looked good physically last night. A complete and total disaster.

Griffin Bass’s Week 13 Slaps:

5. S Malaki Starks

Defense played relatively well, it’s hard to keep points off the board when you turn it over five times on offense. The play that sticks out the most significantly to me is the Andrei Iosivas TD that Roquan is on the LOS and is covering a WR, Starks is the lone safety and he offers ZERO help to Roquan on a Zero blitz. Bad.

4. DE Dre’mont Jones

Pass rush went back to being non-existent unless they blitzed a DB or LB. How do Jones go from game-wrecker on Sunday to M.I.A last night?

3. OC Todd Monken

OL was garbage but that’s on DeCosta. The big issue is the lack of Derrick Henry usage and completely abandoning him after the opening drive… Opening drive: Derrick Henry- 3 carries, 32 yards, 1 touchdown. The rest of the first half: 2 carries yielding 0 yards… Not to mention Rasheen Ali out-snapping both Keaton Mitchell AND Derrick Henry in the game. Here’s Warren Sharp with more details:

2. TE Isaiah Likely

1. QB Lamar Jackson (two slaps)

I don’t know what’s wrong with him. We all agree he looked the most mobile last night he’s had since the injury, yet he looked the worst in the pocket, the INT was tipped but he was missing throws literally all night. 3 turnovers, protect the football
