You know the drill! But if you’re new, here at Glenn Clark Radio, we always try to reflect on the most recent Ravens game in a more convivial manner.  In retrospect, we like to choose five players on the team who — depending on the outcome of the game — deserve a ‘Pat On The Ass’ or ‘Slap To The Helmet.’

The rules are simple: pick two players on defense, two players on offense, and one “wild card” (an offensive player, defensive player, special teamer or coach) who stuck out from the pack.

Ravens fell on their faces Monday night with the whole league watching as they let the Detroit Lions come into town and bully them from start to finish, the final score not indicating how lopsided it truly was. As a result, Glenn and Griffin have some Helmet Slaps to hand out:

They will count down in sequential order before we name the ultimate prize — Two Pats on the Ass. That one player who one single Pat just wouldn’t sit right.

Without further adieu:

Glenn Clark’s Week 3 Slaps:

5. CB Marlon Humphrey

The biggest issues were up front but he had his own problems.

4. OL Andrew Vorhees

Someone has to speak for the group. It was Faalele last time, Vorhees gets his turn this time.

3. DT Travis Jones

The lack of an edge rush was bad but Penei Sewell seemed to have his way with Jones all night. That’s a brutal matchup but it was a storyteller in the run game.

2. RB Derrick Henry

It’s too much to ignore.

1. DC Zachary Orr

He’s gonna have to wear this. This wasn’t supposed to happen again this year. It’s really quite staggering that it is.

Griffin Bass’s Week 3 Slaps:

5. CB Marlon Humphrey

Amon-Ra St. Brown is great WR. He showed that against Marlon who looked allergic to him in 1-on-1s, in extremely critical situations too.

4. RT Roger Rosengarten

Per Pro Football Focus, Rosengarten allowed six pressures, leading a unit that allowed seven total sacks on the night. I get it, Aidan Hutchinson is really good.

3. DT Travis Jones

He was banged up and doubled ALL NIGHT, which might say more about everybody else on the front. Regardless, the Lions were going for 10 yards a pop every time they ran between the tackles.

2. RB Derrick Henry

Fumble. And frankly, didn’t look like Derrick Henry.

1. HC John Harbaugh

Dan Campbell masterclass. Cowardly punts on fourth down, while trailing in the fourth quarter, meanwhile Detroit went for it on seemingly every single fourth down and had the perfect playcall each time. I’m not mad, please don’t let the newspaper say that I’m mad.
