Former Maryland basketball star Steve Blake was a guest on Glenn Clark Radio Tuesday.
Among the topics he discussed were:
-Why his interest in being the head coach at Maryland is quite genuine and why he wants the job
-Those that believe he can’t be the guy because he has limited coaching experience (an assistant with the Suns and Trail Blazers for a few years) and hasn’t dealt with the transfer portal and NIL
-The feelings shared by other prominent alums (like Len Elmore and Greivis Vásquez) that it’s time for an alum to be at the helm
-Has he heard from the school after making his interest public?
-If he doesn’t get the job, would he consider being an assistant or perhaps being General Manager?
