Here at Glenn Clark Radio, we always reflect on the Baltimore Ravens game in a more jovial manner. In retrospect, we like to choose five players on the team who — depending on the outcome of the game — deserve a Pat On The Ass or Slap To The Helmet.
The rules are simple: pick two players on defense, two players on offense, and one “wild card” (an offensive player, defensive player, special teamer or coach) who stuck out from the pack.
As you all are surely aware, the Ravens took down the Cleveland Browns in convincing 28-3 win yesterday, as a result, we have some Ass Pats to hand out.
They will count down in sequential order before we name the ultimate prize — Two Pats on the Ass and our Man Of The Match. That one player who one single Pat just wouldn’t sit right.
Without further adieu:
Glenn’s Week 4 Pats On The Ass:
5. LB Patrick Queen
I was genuinely afraid he might have involuntarily manslaughtered Dorian Thompson-Robinson on the sack. He’s just been awesome.
4. CB Brandon Stephens
He’s really raised his level this season and the interception was critical to build momentum and get things going.
3. TE Mark Andrews
The second touchdown was…chef’s kiss. That’s what the advantage of having Mark Andrews should be.
2. QB Lamar Jackson
Other than the fumbled exchange, he looked like an orchestra conductor again.
1. P Jordan Stout (Man Of The Match)
I know you’re rolling your eyes but I thought he was really a weapon yesterday. Seven punts, a 47.7 per punt average and three inside the 20 yard line. When the Ravens couldn’t get going offensively early, he prevented the Browns from being gifted anything cheap that would allow them to feel like they were in the game.
Griffin’s Week 4 Pats On The Ass:
5. CB Arthur Maulet
Needed him to step up while we were down CBs and he did so valiantly, was all over and tipped the big interception to Stephens.
4. DE Jadaveon Clowney
Constantly had DTR under duress, obviously never got home but impacted the game greatly.
3. LB Roquan Smith
Had pressures, has pass break ups, he was a factor in the pass rush and pass coverage. Played like he was worth $20 million.
2. TE Mark Andrews
He looked like Mark Andrews again, even with a couple WRs down, he was nearly unstoppable against this “historic” Browns defense.
1. QB Lamar Jackson (Man Of The Match)
Pretty clear here, responsible for every touchdown.
