Here at Glenn Clark Radio, we always reflect on the Baltimore Ravens game in a more jovial manner. In retrospect, we like to choose five players on the team who — depending on the outcome of the game — deserve a Pat On The Ass or Slap To The Helmet.
The rules are simple: pick two players on defense, two players on offense, and one “wild card” (an offensive player, defensive player, special teamer or coach) who stuck out from the pack.
As you all are surely aware, the Ravens beat the Buccaneers after settling down in the second half of their ‘Thursday Night Football on Prime’ debut. as a result, we have some Ass Pats to hand out.
They will count down in sequential order before we name the ultimate prize — Two Pats on the Ass. That one player who one single Pat just wouldn’t sit right.
This week Glenn and Griffin were joined by Stan ‘The Fan’ Charles and Intern Micah Ernest, so we get to hear their Pats on the Ass as well. Without further adieu:
Glenn’s Pats on the Ass:
5. S Geno Stone
He’s been playing well for too long to have not made a list yet. He gets the nod this week.
4. WR Demarcus Robinson
Became a reliable target exactly when they needed one and the spin move to convert on 3rd down was sublime.
3. EDGE Justin Houston
Really changed the feel of the game with the two sacks in the first half.
2. QB Lamar Jackson
A brilliantly Lamar Jackson-esque second half.
1. TE Isaiah Likely (two pats)
What a coming out party.
Griffin’s Pats on the Ass:
5. DT Broderick Washington
Stepped up big without Calais Campbell, multiple batted passes, those T-Rex arms were terrorizing Tom Brady passes.
4. QB Lamar Jackson
Vintage Lamar Jackson, a performance we’ve come to expect in Baltimore.
3. EDGE Justin Houston
He’s been our best and most consistent pass rusher this season, last night was no exception.
2. TE Isaiah Likely
Stepped up huge after losing our top 2 pass catchers, and by all accounts, this was not a surprise from anyone in the building, you could even say it was a ‘Likely’ performance…
1. C Tyler Linderbaum (two pats)
Tremendous game up front. Struggled with the physical freak that is Vita Vea early but once we got to running the ball, he was a force and one of the key components of a second half turnaround.
Stan ‘The Fan’ Charles’ Pats on the Ass:
5. S Kyle Hamilton
4. EDGE Justin Houston
3. WR Devin Duvernay
2. TE Isaiah Likely
1. QB Lamar Jackson (two pats)
Micah’s Pats on the Ass:
5. S Geno Stone
4. EDGE Justin Houston
3. QB Lamar Jackson
2. WR Devin Duvernay
1. TE Isaiah Likely (two pats)
