Here at Glenn Clark Radio, we always reflect on the Baltimore Ravens game in a more jovial manner. In retrospect, we like to choose five players on the team who — depending on the outcome of the game — deserve a Pat On The Ass or Slap To The Helmet.
The rules are simple: pick two players on defense, two players on offense, and one “wild card” (an offensive player, defensive player, special teamer or coach) who stuck out from the pack.
As you all are surely aware, the Ravens beat the Patriots on Sunday for the first time while playing in Foxborough during the regular season, as a result, we have some Ass Pats to hand out.
They will count down in sequential order before we name the ultimate prize — Two Pats on the Ass. That one player who one single Pat just wouldn’t sit right.
Without further adieu:
Glenn’s Pats on the Ass, Week 3:
5. LB Josh Bynes
It was tough to leave Kyle Hamilton off after the play he made but Bynes was just too active throughout the day, including a momentum turning interception.
4. PR/WR Devin Duvernay
He probably should have had a touchdown on the long punt return. But he more than made up for it with the touchdown catch.
3. CB Marlon Humphrey
Clearly not 100% and yet not only did he have the pick, he also made the massive third down stop. It’s almost like he’s perfectly capable of both football AND Tweeting!
2. TE Mark Andrews
Breaking: Mark Andrews is still very good at the football.
1. QB Lamar Jackson (two Pats)
Holy shit.
Griffin’s Pats on the Ass:
5. OT Daniel Faalele
He did not look good after first coming into the game at LT. It was a position he hadn’t played before and adjustments were made in the second half that made him look a lot better as he stepped up huge in spot the Ravens haven’t had an answer for in awhile.
4. CB Marlon Humphrey
Glad we have Marlon back for every snap, when he’s all the way back he’s a top 5 corner in the league, that’s tackling, coverage, you name it, plus he gives us the victory IG live after away wins.
3. CB Marcus Peters
He was missed, very happy to see him back out there for every snap. He’s always in the right spot at the right time, big fumble recovery plus a game-sealing interception.
2. TE Mark Andrews
I don’t even want to think about what we would do without him.
1. QB Lamar Jackson (two Pats)
PAY. THE. MAN.
