Once again this year, Glenn Clark Radio has partnered with Drew Forrester and Drew’s Morning Dish to help raise coats and clothes for the amazing Helping Up Mission downtown.
We have been so grateful for the thousands of pieces of clothes that you have donated over the years. In the coming days, we’ll be announcing locations around town where we’ll have drop-off boxes AND we’ll have at least one collection event.
But as the pandemic forced us to re-consider how we collected clothes last year, we learned that Helping Up Mission regularly needs items like socks and underwear and undershirts and believe it or not, we DO NOT want you to donate yours! So last year, we asked you to donate cash so that we could go out and purchase those items and…you did! Drew and I spent $2,000 on much needed items, an amount so large my bank literally prevented the transaction from happening because I had never spent so much money at a Target before.
And we’re asking you to do it again. Our goal is once again to raise $2,000. And we’re making it worth your while once again. Allow me to introduce you to our “Help Us Help Helping Up” raffle! There will be 100 spots available. They cost $20 each. Four of those 100 spots will prove to be winners.
The first winner will get their choice of our four prizes, the second will get the choice of the three remaining prizes and so forth.

To answer your questions:
1-YES, you may purchase more than one spot in the raffle AND you may win more than once. Last year’s winner (Gary) purchased 10 spots, donating $200!
2-If you want to donate but don’t want any of the prizes, that’s totally fine. If we pull your number, we’ll put it to the side and pull another number instead.
3-If you’re out of town, you can still win. But we will ask you to handle shipping charges so that we don’t have to pull from the money donated to the charity.
4-The reason why you’re sending the money to me instead of directly to Helping Up is because that money goes to their operating budget. That’s a good thing and we love the idea of you supporting that BUTTTTT we can use this money to purchase clothes directly for the men and women who are trying to lift themselves back up (and their families).
5-No, I don’t think the Orioles will be the ones to sign Carlos Correa.
