Here at Glenn Clark Radio, we always reflect on the Baltimore Ravens game in a more jovial manner. In retrospect, we like to choose five players on the team who — depending on the outcome of the game — deserve a Pat On The Ass or Slap To The Helmet.
The rules are simple: pick two players on defense, two players on offense, and one “wild card” (an offensive player, defensive player, special teamer or coach) who stuck out from the pack.
As you all are surely aware, the Ravens beat the Lions in stunning fashion in Week 3, and as a result, we have some Ass Pats to hand out.
They will count down in sequential order before we name the ultimate prize — Two Pats on the Ass. That one player who one single Pat just wouldn’t sit right.
Without further ado:
Glenn’s Pats on the Ass, Week 3:
5. CB Tavon Young
It was tough to find a second defensive player to put on the list this week. He had a huge sack on a third down in the first half to get them off the field and that was enough for him to crack the list.
4. S Chuck Clark
He was really the one defensive player that truly stood out.
3. TE Mark Andrews
Boy did he come on as the game went on.
2. QB Lamar Jackson
Quite possibly his best day as a passer in his career.
1. K Justin Tucker (two pats)
I hear he’s good.
Kyle Ottenheimer’s Pats on the Ass, Week 3:
5. Anthony Averett
His positioning on the go route along the sideline was impeccable, and he has now put together two consecutive quality performances. In the absence of a second truly standout defender, his game deserves praise.
4. Chuck Clark
He effectively neutralized the man who had been the focal point of Detroit’s passing attack through the first two weeks.
3. Mark Andrews
A needed performance in a game where the receivers made some costly mistakes.
2. Lamar Jackson
Was marvelous throwing the football, and interception aside, has made quite a few huge throws so far. Maybe don’t lower your shoulder in the open field though.
1. Justin Tucker (two pats)
I mean, yeah.
