We are in the midst of our 2020 #GCRMayoralForum on Glenn Clark Radio. We have invited the candidates for mayor to join us in studio in order to discuss issues where sports and politics mix during this campaign. Those issues include:

-The future of the Baltimore Orioles with their lease at Camden Yards set to expire soon
-Getting crowds back to Camden Yards and their various concerns about downtown
-A need for either a new arena altogether or to renovate the existing Royal Farms Arena
-The current proposal for saving Pimlico and Preakness long-term in Baltimore
-Support for legalized sports betting and whether it will happen at a new Pimlico or even the Baltimore stadiums

Current Baltimore mayor Bernard “Jack” Young will be joining us March 11 and we have reached out to the campaigns for both Mary Miller and Mary Washington in hopes of getting them in studio soon as well. In the meantime, here are the initial crop of candidates who have joined us:

Former mayor Sheila Dixon (February 25)

City Council President Brandon Scott (February 24)

Former Baltimore Police spokesman TJ Smith (February 17)

Former Maryland Deputy Attorney General Thiru Vignarajah (February 25)
