Sugano’s Outstanding Start Paces Orioles In Series Opening Win In Seattle, Gives Him Team-High Third #ManOfTheMatch Of Season

As you’re almost certainly aware, after every Orioles win this season, Glenn determines a “Man Of The Match,” which some have called “the highest honor in all of sports.”

In addition to the social media recognition, the player’s face also goes into a featured position on our “Never Lose Ever” board in the studio.

We received requests to keep an updated tally of how many “Man Of The Match” nods each player has received for the season. We’ll keep that tally here and update it regularly.

Tomoyuki Sugano allowed just one run and six baserunners over seven innings in the Orioles’ series opening 5-1 win over the Mariners June 3. That was enough for his team-leading third #ManOfTheMatch honor of the season.

Here’s the tally for the season:

Tomoyuki Sugano-3 (April 17, May 9, June 3)
Zach Eflin-2 (April 7, May 30)
Jackson Holliday-2 (April 5, April 16)
Charlie Morton-2 (May 26, June 1)
Cedric Mullins-2 (March 31, April 12)
