As you’re almost certainly aware, after every Orioles win this season, Glenn determines a “Man Of The Match,” which some have called “the highest honor in all of sports.”
In addition to the social media recognition, the player’s face also goes into a featured position on our “Never Lose Ever” board in the studio.
We received requests to keep an updated tally of how many “Man Of The Match” nods each player has received for the season. We’ll keep that tally here and update it regularly.
Cedric Mullins was the first Oriole to reach base against the Blue Jays’ Bowden Francis as he was threatening a Perfect Game April 12. He scored the Orioles’ first run then added what proved to be the game-winning two run double an inning later as the Orioles held on for a 5-4 win and Mullins picked up his second #MOTM of the year.
Here’s the tally for the season:
Cedric Mullins-2 (March 31, April 12)
Zach Eflin-1 (April 7)
Jackson Holliday-1 (April 5)
Tyler O’Neill-1 (March 27)
Ramón Urías-1 (March 29)
