As you’re almost certainly aware, after every Orioles win this season, Glenn determines a “Man Of The Match,” which some have called “the highest honor in all of sports.”
In addition to the social media recognition, the player’s face also goes into a featured position on our “Never Lose Ever” board in the studio.
We recently received requests to keep an updated tally of how many “Man Of The Match” nods each player has received for the season. We’ll keep that tally here and update it regularly.
Obviously Corbin Burnes was great in the Orioles’ June 27th win over the Rangers. But he did allow nine hits over his seven innings. So that was just enough for me to consider the guy who got the offense going and finished 2-3 with 3 RBI and 2 runs (including his two run homer) and a walk. Heston Kjerstad picks up his first MOTM honor of the season.
Here’s the tally for the season:
Gunnar Henderson – 5
Cole Irvin – 4
Jorge Mateo – 4
Grayson Rodriguez – 4
Jordan Westburg – 4
Corbin Burnes – 3
Ryan Mountcastle – 3
Adley Rutschman – 3

Dean Kremer – 2
Cedric Mullins – 2
Ryan O’Hearn – 2
