Baseball season is back! And with is the return of ‘Three Up and Three Down’ where Glenn and Griffin recap the week that was in Orioles baseball. It’s quite simple, Monday on GCR the boys will rank their top performing Orioles each week, and some of the worst performing birds of the previous week. Much like in baseball, we will go ‘Three Up and Three Down’ ranking the top three best and bottom three worst Orioles performers based specifically the most recent week of baseball.

The Orioles go ‘Three Up and Three Down’ themselves during AL East road trip, winning a series in Boston before dropping a series in Toronto, we’ll look back at how it happened as Glenn and Griffin share their best and worst performers of the week, let’s see how the boys have the birds stacking up:

Glenn’s Three Up:

3. INF Blaze Alexander

He lead the highest OPS on the team for the week (1.107) but the play in centerfield in Boston, whether he should have been there or not, was just enough to drop him slightly.

2. C Adley Rutschman

Friday night Adley specifically is a first ballot Hall of Famer.

1. OF Colton Cowser

Not only did he OPS 1.106, that throw from right first to get Sánchez at second base

Griffin’s Three Up:

3. SP Brandon Young

I guess he won’t be winning any awards for just simply pitching into the 7th inning Friday night but it is saying something about his consistency over the last several weeks, another quality start is plenty to make my list this week.

2. C Adley Rutschman

Fantastic game Friday night, part of a really strong week in which he led the team in hits and RBI.

1. OF Colton Cowser

He is hitting really damn well right now.

Glenn’s Three Down:

3. CF Leody Taveras

He’s been great all season. But this week he was 2-17 and added just one walk. Bummer.

2. SP Chris Bassitt

I have no idea how concerned to be about his back but I know that eight baserunners over three innings was brutal.

1. SP Kyle Bradish

The Orioles were 3-1 for the week with Bradish on the mound for the next game. There was no way this should have ended up a 3-3 week.

Griffin’s Three Down:

3. C Samuel Basallo

He OPS’d under .400. Just not good enough on a week where they needed more. The ‘toughen’ up thing is weird too and doesn’t neccesarily sit all that well with me, but he was trending towards this list before Albernaz’s postgame comments.

2. SS Gunnar Henderson

The error is really fresh in my mind from yesterday, even if they still could’ve been out of the 6th inning if he got the tag on. Plus, he was not good at the plate, again, 6-for-24 and 0 RBI.

1. SP Kyle Bradish

I mean ugh, just sucks that Bradish went from being your #1 guy to whatever happened Saturday: 4 IP, 5 runs, 9 h/3 bb…
