Glenn and Griffin are bringing back our tradition we started last year for this 2025 baseball season Mondays on GCR with ‘Three Up and Three Down’ where we rank the best and worst Orioles performers of the week, much like how we do with Pats on the Ass and Slaps to the Helmet during football season after Ravens games. The guys will each name three players, three trending up, three trending down, based on how they did for that week specifically.
The pitching staff led the birds to a 4-3 week as they sweep the South-siders in Chicago before returning to Camden Yards and dropping three of four to the Bronx bombers. This is how Glenn and Griffin saw the team shaping up in our second to last rendition of ‘Three Up and Three Down’ for the 2025 season:
Glenn’s Three Up:
3. SP Tyler Wells
I really wanted to find a way to get Coby Mayo (8-22) on the list but the three starters were too good to leave any of them off. Wells allowed just four baserunners and one run over six innings in his only start.
2. SP Kyle Bradish
Bradish wasn’t brilliant in his start against the White Sox (eight base runners over five innings) but he limited the damage to just one run. He was brilliant against the Yankees on Sunday, allowing just one run on two hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out 18 across the two starts.
1. SP Trevor Rogers
And he was just brilliant in his one start against the Yankees Friday night. Just one hit (two walks and a hit batter) over six shutout innings. Tremendous stuff from the soon to be team MVP.
Griffin’s Three Up:
3. SP Tyler Wells
No one on offense deserved to be here, Gunnar is the 4th, I don’t care what Glenn says, he’s the best player they’ve got in that lineup and was that again. Anyway, in terms of Wells, I really like the fact that he’s not walking batters.
2. SP Trevor Rogers
I’m approaching blank-check territory. 6 shutty vs the Yankees, only three baserunners… Damn, maybe he should be #1 this week?
1. SP Kyle Bradish
Two tremendous starts, including nine strikeouts against the Yankees. Now, find somebody else who can pitch after him!
Glenn’s Three Down:
3. 3B Jordan Westburg
Yes, he was 1-21 but also, he played baseball. So, you know, mixed bag.
2. 2B Jackson Holliday
His numbers (3-26) weren’t quite as bad as Westburg’s but he didn’t just come back from an injury so he takes the higher (lower?) spot.
1. RP Chayce McDermott
I’m not going to post the numbers because I feel like it would qualify as internet obscenity.
Griffin’s Three Down:
3. 2B Jackson Holliday
.332 OPS the seven days, which is better than Jordan Westburg!
2. 3B Jordan Westburg
Did he rush back too soon? 1-for-21 with 10 strikeouts is bad, but I’m not overly concerned because it’s Jordan Westburg.
1. Chayce McDermott

We’re in the the throws of the NFL season now so no audio for the boys this week… but here’s a look at the season-long standings. Scoring is simple: 3 points awarded to the top player in ‘Three Up’ each week (then 2 points and 1 point), -3 points for the top player in ‘Three Down’ each week (then -2 points and -1 point):
