Glenn and Griffin are bringing back our tradition we started last year for this 2025 baseball season Mondays on GCR with ‘Three Up and Three Down’ where we rank the best and worst Orioles performers of the week, much like how we do with Pats on the Ass and Slaps to the Helmet during football season after Ravens games. The guys will each name three players, three trending up, three trending down, based on how they did for that week specifically.

Orioles go ‘three up and three down’ themselves after a 3-3 week in which they win two games up in Boston before needing Trevor Rogers to save them from being swept by Houston Sunday. Here is how Glenn and Griffin saw the week shaping out:

Glenn’s Three Up:

3. UT Jeremiah Jackson

It’s worth noticing what he’s doing. He went 8-24 for the week and is starting to look comfortable playing multiple positions. There’s much to like here.

2. OF Dylan Beavers

He reached base in 12 of 24 plate appearances this week. That’s quite good! Everyone loves his compact, two strike swing. There’s SO much to like here.

1. SP Trevor Rogers

He allowed two runs and struck out 16 over 14 innings and we all think he could have actually been better.

Griffin’s Three Up:

3. SS Gunnar Henderson

It’s the up list, so Gunnar is on it.

2. OF Dylan Beavers

Wow. He was great. .500 OBP, 1.000+ OPS. You get excited every time he’s up to bat, and he’s just a fun baseball player to watch. Way, way, way too early to be saying this, and it’s not a perfect comp, but he reminds me of Nick Markakis.

1. SP Trevor Rogers

Lol. That’s pitching.

Glenn’s Three Down:

3. SP Brandon Young

We’ll always have that Friday night in Houston. (7ER, 11 baserunners over 5.1 innings)

2. SP Dean Kremer

Never, and I mean NEVER think you’ve figured out which Dean Kremer might show up. (6ER, 8 baserunners over 5IP).

1. 1B Coby Mayo

Veering into “throwing away my shot” territory after a 2-15 week with 8 strikeouts.

Griffin’s Three Down:

3. SP Brandon Young

He was just as bad and disappointing as Kremer, but I don’t have him higher because I feel there’s some solace in him laboring through and pitching into the 6th inning.

2.  3B Coby Mayo

Continues to squander the opportunity. Eight strikeouts in 15 at-bats.

1. SP Dean Kremer

Just when you think he’s turning a corner, you get reminded of how inconsistent he is. What a disaster Saturday night was from the get.

Here’s a look at the season-long standings. Scoring is simple: 3 points awarded to the top player in ‘Three Up’ each week (then 2 points and 1 point), -3 points for the top player in ‘Three Down’ each week (then -2 points and -1 point):

Then do yourself a favor and listen below as Glenn and Griffin go ‘Three Up and Three Down’ and get a bonus of Griffin previewing the Ravens 53-man roster!
