Glenn and Griffin are bringing back our tradition we started last year for this 2025 baseball season Mondays on GCR with ‘Three Up and Three Down’ where we rank the best and worst Orioles performers of the week, much like how we do with Pats on the Ass and Slaps to the Helmet during football season after Ravens games. The guys will each name three players, three trending up, three trending down, based on how they did for that week specifically.

Birds go 3-4 in 7-game week dropping three out of four in Cleveland before adding two wins vs the Rockies over the weekend, here is how Glenn and Griffin saw the squad stack up as the MLB trade deadline looms:

Glenn’s Three Up:

3. SS Gunnar Henderson

I don’t know that he definitively had a better week than Jackson Holliday or Ramón Laureano but on top of his .853 OPS he had a pair of steals and then this sealed his spot on the list.

2. OF Tyler O’Neill

Well this is awkward. Just a casual 1.589 OPS for the week. So yeah. That’s decent.

1. SP Trevor Rogers

Kinda running away with Orioles MVP at this point.

Griffin’s Three Up:

3. OF Ramón Laureano

Strong week for a potential trade asset, he single-handedly gave the team hope trying to win a single game in Cleveland… O’Neill is not on my list. He hit 3 home runs vs the Rockies after sitting out over half the Cleveland series bc of soreness. Give me a break.

2. SP Trevor Rogers

Seven scoreless, just two baserunners (vs the Rockies). But that’s good against anyone, especially after Dean had such a challenging time.

1. SS Gunnar Henderson

He’s finally having fun again, maybe just needed to play the Rockies, but still a big week for Gun’, stealing bags, making plays in the field, forcing the freaking issue. It’s good–no, great baseball.

Glenn’s Three Down:

3. RP Grant Wolfram

Sugano also imploded on Monday but he did a better job of bouncing back.

2. OF Colton Cowser

I’m thinking a .295 OPS isn’t great.

1. SP Dean Kremer

I know it doesn’t really matter but it’s the infuriating part of the Kremer experience. Staked to a 4-0 lead, he implodes. And that’s the difference in a winning or losing week.

Griffin’s Three Down:

3.  SP Tomoyuki Sugano

Couldn’t make it through four innings on Monday. That’s really unacceptable, especially given how the offense came out and actually scored some runs for him off a good pitcher in Bibee. The start against the lowly Rockies does not make up for it.

2. OF Colton Cowser

Awful week for Cowser. 2-for-19 and if not for the 18-run explosion Saturday night his week might’ve looked even worse.

1. SP Dean Kremer

Offense gives you four home runs and Dean blows the game to the Rockies. The Rockies.

Here’s a look at the season-long standings. Scoring is simple: 3 points awarded to the top player in ‘Three Up’ each week (then 2 points and 1 point), -3 points for the top player in ‘Three Down’ each week (then -2 points and -1 point):

You can listen as the boys go over the week that was, plus react to some substantial baseball breaking news:
