Glenn and Griffin are bringing back our tradition we started last year for this 2025 baseball season Mondays on GCR with ‘Three Up and Three Down’ where we rank the best and worst Orioles performers of the week, much like how we do with Pats on the Ass and Slaps to the Helmet during football season after Ravens games. The guys will each name three players, three trending up, three trending down, based on how they did for that week specifically.

The birds go ‘three up and three down’ themselves as they nearly get no-hit by Texas twice early in the week before grabbing two three from the Rays over the weekend, some polarizing weeks in the mix but Glenn and Griffin ultimately landed almost the exact same names:

Glenn’s Three Up:

3. OF Ramón Laureano

He’s such a fun baseball player. He’s not “great,” per se. But he plays hard and you appreciate it. He OPS-ed 1.323 for the week, getting on base 12 times in 22 plate appearances.

2. SP Dean Kremer

A spectacular performance on Sunday, allowing just four baserunners over seven shutout innings. He was phenomenal.

1. SP Trevor Rogers

And yet, someone was somehow even better. Rogers allowed just three hits and no walks over eight shutout innings against the Rangers, his second dominant start in three tries in the bigs this season.

Griffin’s Three Up:

3. OF Ramón Laureano

The name of the game is to score runs and he did that the most. Feels like he’s always running hard, starting rallies, just a fun baseball player to watch.

2. SP Dean Kremer

1. SP Trevor Rogers

Eight shutty vs Texas? Yeah, that’ll do it.

Glenn’s Three Down:

3. SP Tomoyuki Sugano

Yes, they ended up winning the game and Sugano gutted out five innings. But we can’t pretend like those five innings weren’t unmitigated disastery…after the Orioles gave him two extra days.

2. OF Cedric Mullins

He did have a bunt base hit and sac fly on Sunday and he did lace a double off a position player Friday night but…yeah. That’s kinda it. It’s just not getting any better and it makes me very sad.

1. SP Zach Eflin

I was inclined at first to leave him off because of the injury but he did pitch and he got crushed and that’s kind of a theme and it isn’t okay.

Griffin’s Three Down:

3.  RP Gregory Soto

The theme of this week will be players tanking their trade value. And Soto blew the lead in Tuesday’s game right after the offense exploded for 5 runs after being no-hit for six innings. A leadoff walk to Texas’s fastest guy and didn’t even try to hold him as he effortlessly stole 2nd and 3rd!

2. CF Cedric Mullins

It’s tough to watch right now, he’s had a lot of bad luck too, but talk about guys sinking their trade value…

1. SP Zach Eflin

Hate to add insult to injury, literally, but that was freaking brutal on Saturday.

Here’s a look at the season-long standings. Scoring is simple: 3 points awarded to the top player in ‘Three Up’ each week (then 2 points and 1 point), -3 points for the top player in ‘Three Down’ each week (then -2 points and -1 point):

If you missed it live, here’s the guys running through their selections on the show:
