Blewett’s Strong Effort Out Of Pen Makes Him Only #ManOfTheMatch From Orioles’ Series Loss To Yankees

As you’re almost certainly aware, after every Orioles win this season, Glenn determines a “Man Of The Match,” which some have called “the highest honor in all of sports.”

In addition to the social media recognition, the player’s face also goes into a featured position on our “Never Lose Ever” board in the studio.

We received requests to keep an updated tally of how many “Man Of The Match” nods each player has received for the season. We’ll keep that tally here and update it regularly.

No Orioles pitcher had tossed a clean inning for the first six frames of their 5-3 win over the Yankees June 20. Reliever Scott Blewett changed that, going six up and six down over two innings. It was enough for him to claim his first ever #MOTM.

Here’s the tally for the season:

Charlie Morton-3 (May 26, June 1, June 13)
Cedric Mullins-3 (March 31, April 12, June 14)
