Morton And Mullins Add To #ManOfTheMatch Tally While Dominguez Picks Up First Of Season In Weekend Sweep Of Angels

As you’re almost certainly aware, after every Orioles win this season, Glenn determines a “Man Of The Match,” which some have called “the highest honor in all of sports.”

In addition to the social media recognition, the player’s face also goes into a featured position on our “Never Lose Ever” board in the studio.

We received requests to keep an updated tally of how many “Man Of The Match” nods each player has received for the season. We’ll keep that tally here and update it regularly.

Charlie Morton struck out 10 Angels over five shutout innings before the rain took him out of the game in the Orioles’ 2-0 win June 13. He picked up his third #MOTM of the season thanks to the effort. Cedric Mullins went 2-4 and crushed the go-ahead home run in their 6-5 win June 14, which gave him his third #MOTM as well. And Seranthony Dominguez entered with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the seventh June 15 and the Orioles leading just 5-2. He promptly recorded a pair of strikeouts before the O’s pulled away for an 11-2 victory to complete the sweep and give the reliever his first #MOTM.

Here’s the tally for the season:

Zach Eflin-3 (April 7, May 30, June 11)
Charlie Morton-3 (May 26, June 1, June 13)
