Offense Comes To Life Late But Eflin’s Strong Start Gives Him Third #ManOfTheMatch Honor Of Season

As you’re almost certainly aware, after every Orioles win this season, Glenn determines a “Man Of The Match,” which some have called “the highest honor in all of sports.”

In addition to the social media recognition, the player’s face also goes into a featured position on our “Never Lose Ever” board in the studio.

We received requests to keep an updated tally of how many “Man Of The Match” nods each player has received for the season. We’ll keep that tally here and update it regularly.

Zach Eflin worked 6.2 innings June 11, allowing just one run on six baserunners. It was more than enough time to allow the Orioles’ bats to come to life in their 11-1 win over the Tigers. It was also enough to give Eflin his third #MOTM of the season, matching the team high.

Here’s the tally for the season:

Zach Eflin-3 (April 7, May 30, June 11)
Tomoyuki Sugano-3 (April 17, May 9, June 3)
Jackson Holliday-2 (April 5, April 16)
