Glenn and Griffin are bringing back our tradition we started last year for this 2025 baseball season Mondays on GCR with ‘Three Up and Three Down’ where we rank the best and worst Orioles performers of the week, much like how we do with Pats on the Ass and Slaps to the Helmet during football season after Ravens games. The guys will each name three players, three trending up, three trending down, based on how they did for that week specifically.

How about that? The Orioles stacking back-to-back winning weeks after another 4-2 stretch this time as they take a West Coast trip, sweeping the Mariners before dropping two of three to the reeling A’s. Here’s our ‘Three Up and Three Down’ for the week on the road:

Glenn’s Three Up:

3. RP Gregory Soto

Three appearances. Three innings pitched. Two baserunners. Six strikeouts. No runs.

2. OF Colton Cowser

It was an odd week where I thought there were seven players that couple have been #3, one guy who could be #1 and no one that were worthy of being #2. It was good to have Colton back. I don’t think his Saturday night home run has landed yet.

1. C Adley Rutschman

How do we make him think every game is in the Pacific Northwest?

Griffin’s Three Up:

3. CF Colton Cowser

His presence was immediately felt. Moo.

2. RP Félix Bautista

Obviously, someone from the bullpen had to be represented here, I’ll take the easy one. Converted both save opportunities and looked great in his one non-save chance. Continues to remind me that he is in fact Félix Bautista even though I’m biting my nails every time he pitches.

1. C Adley Rutschman

I like this. An OPS well above 1.000 will certainly play (my fantasy team is thankful for it, too. Finally.)

Glenn’s Three Down:

3. 1B/OF Ryan O’Hearn

As much as I want to, we can’t give him a pass for a .427 OPS week.

2. SP Charlie Morton

Just when we were starting to trust him.

1. SP Dean Kremer

This was so much more disheartening because the Orioles were red hot and had gifted him an early 3-0 lead Friday night before he imploded.

Griffin’s Three Down:

3.  1B Ryan O’Hearn

Was searching for some reason to not put O’Hearn here but alas, it was a not a good week for the guy, sub-.500 OPS will, in fact, not play!

2. SP Charlie Morton

Yeesh. We almost had hope.

1. SP Dean Kremer

He’s a stopper alright, a stopper of win streaks.

Here’s a look at the season-long standings. Scoring is simple: 3 points awarded to the top player in ‘Three Up’ each week (then 2 points and 1 point), -3 points for the top player in ‘Three Down’ each week (then -2 points and -1 point):
