Glenn and Griffin are bringing back our tradition we started last year for this 2025 baseball season Mondays on GCR with ‘Three Up and Three Down’ where we rank the best and worst Orioles performers of the week, much like how we do with Pats on the Ass and Slaps to the Helmet during football season after Ravens games. The guys will each name three players, three trending up, three trending down, based on how they did for that week specifically.

Orioles pick up three wins and split with the Red Sox in Boston but yet another sub-.500 week as the birds go 3-4. Here’s our ‘Three Up and Three Down’ for the week:

Glenn’s Three Up:

3. RP Bryan Baker

Allowed just one unearned run on one hit and no walks over 4.1 innings in four appearances. He’s obviously been their best reliever all season and deserves more recognition.

2. SP Trevor Rogers

I mean, we can’t pretend it didn’t happen. Rogers was spectacular, allowing just three baserunners over six and a third shutout innings. I mean, splendid.

1. OF Ryan O’Hearn

Professional. Freaking. Ballplayer.

Griffin’s Three Up:

3. RP Andrew Kittredge

Sure, he gave up a meaningless run yesterday but boy does look like a guy this bullpen needed two months ago.

2. SP Trevor Rogers

Oh.

1. 1B Ryan O’Hearn

Hero? Is that the word?… If we had nine Ryan O’Hearn’s in the lineup I’d like our chances.

Glenn’s Three Down:

3. RP Cionel Pérez

One more for the road. Farewell, sweet Three Down prince.

2. SP Zach Eflin

Yeah, it’s starting to be a bit concerning.

1. OF Heston Kjerstad

He did make that one nice play though. So there’s that.

Griffin’s Three Down:

3. OF Heston Kjerstad

Just really not good. However, with this team they better keep rolling him out there until we know exactly what he is.

2. 1B Ryan Mountcastle

I love that he brings his glove to every game, but if we’re at a point where Emmanuel Rivera is a better option at first base because of the bat, then what are we doing?

1. RP Cionel Pérez

But at least he caught Home Runs with his hat in the bullpen.

Here’s a look at the season-long standings. Scoring is simple: 3 points awarded to the top player in ‘Three Up’ each week (then 2 points and 1 point), -3 points for the top player in ‘Three Down’ each week (then -2 points and -1 point):
