Glenn and Griffin are bringing back our tradition we started last year for this 2025 baseball season Mondays on GCR with ‘Three Up and Three Down’ where we rank the best and worst Orioles performers of the week, much like how we do with Pats on the Ass and Slaps to the Helmet during football season after Ravens games. The guys will each name three players, three trending up, three trending down, based on how they did for that week specifically.

For the first time in the brief life of ‘Three Up and Three Down’ on GCR, the Orioles go 0-6 and even fire Manager Brandon Hyde. We’ll still go three up and three down despite the negative week:

Glenn’s Three Up:

3. RP Charlie Morton

Sure. Of course Charlie Morton would make the most depressing “Three Up” list in history. He was…helpful this week. He allowed just two runs and six baserunners over 7.1 innings after two different messy starts.

2. RP Cionel Pérez

And because we are officially in the twilight zone, of course Pérez made three appearances this week and allowed no runs and just three baserunners over 5.1 innings. Of course.

1. 2B Jackson Holliday

Everything not named Jackson Holliday is broken though.

Griffin’s Three Up:

3. SP Cade Povich

I thought Cade was good! Only five base runners, struck out nine, really only two bad mistakes: the homerun to Lowe and pitching to James Wood a third time with a runner in scoring position.

2. LF Ramón Laureano

Not a bad FA pick up, huh? 8 hits, batted over .400. That’s a good week amid what was mostly bad.

1. 2B Jackson Holliday

I’m glad he’s looking like a real baseball player, and a legitimate leadoff hitter, too… Just in time for the team to suck.

Glenn’s Three Down:

3. RP Yennier Cano

It’s hard to remember but they had the chance to beat the Twins in Game 2 of the doubleheader Wednesday until one of the guys we thought was part of the solution brought gas to the fire.

2. SP Zach Eflin

It’s so much worse because it’s him.

1. SP Kyle Gibson

Farewell, sweet prince.

Griffin’s Three Down:

3.  SP Dean Kremer

Offense got you three runs and then you immediately piss down your leg like that. Come on, Dean.

2. SP Kyle Gibson

Appreciate the cameo.

1. RP Yennier Cano

This guy had expectations to be good, he has not been. That’s why he’s #1.

Here’s a look at the season-long standings. Scoring is simple: 3 points awarded to the top player in ‘Three Up’ each week (then 2 points and 1 point), -3 points for the top player in ‘Three Down’ each week (then -2 points and -1 point):
