As you’re almost certainly aware, after every Orioles win this season, Glenn determines a “Man Of The Match,” which some have called “the highest honor in all of sports.”
In addition to the social media recognition, the player’s face also goes into a featured position on our “Never Lose Ever” board in the studio.
We received requests to keep an updated tally of how many “Man Of The Match” nods each player has received for the season. We’ll keep that tally here and update it regularly.
Cade Povich allowed just one run and five baserunners (four hits, one walk) over 6.2 innings as the Orioles avoided being swept and picked up a 2-1 win over the Nationals April 24. It was enough to land him his first #MOTM honor of the year.
Here’s the tally for the season:
Jackson Holliday-2 (April 5, April 16)
Cedric Mullins-2 (March 31, April 12)
Zach Eflin-1 (April 7)
Ramón Laureano-1 (April 19)
Tyler O’Neill-1 (March 27)
Cade Povich-1 (April 24)
Tomoyuki Sugano-1 (April 17)
Ramón Urías-1 (March 29)
