Glenn and Griffin are bringing back our tradition we started last year for the 2025 baseball season Monday on GCR with ‘Three Up and Three Down’ where we rank the best and worst Orioles performers of the week, much like how we do with Pats on the Ass and Slaps to the Helmet during football season after Ravens games. The guys will each name three players, three trending up, three trending down, based on how they did for that week specifically.

Yet another two-win week for the O’s as they go 2-3 in the five games played, still without a series win now 15 games into the season after splitting with Toronto again and losing two of three out in the desert… Without further adieu:

Glenn’s Three Up:

3. C Adley Rutschman

If Bryan Baker hadn’t given up a run, I would’ve gotten him on here. Since he did, Rutschman’s week (five hits and an additional three walks including a massive game tying home run Saturday) is just enough to crack this list.

2. CF Cedric Mullins

He wasn’t necessarily great this week, but he A-still got on base seven times and B-had the biggest hit in one of only two wins for the week.

1. SP Zach Eflin

Remember? He was on the team this week! And he was great! He allowed just one run and four base runners over six innings! Things were more pleasant then.

Griffin’s Three Up:

3. CF Cedric Mullins

Had the clutch-est hit on Saturday, brings his glove to every game, and produces outside of just base hits. He’s been everyone’s favorite Oriole to watch for a while now. Easy pick in what was a slower week offensively for the team as a whole.

2. RP Yennier Cano

He should’ve been 3-0 in games he pitched in, should he have come in earlier yesterday? Should we expect him to completely shut it down in that inning? I guess so, but he’s been the best guy in this bullpen this season and there’s a reason he’s in that spot and you expect a 4-out save.

1. SP Zach Eflin

He’s gone now, so does anything really even matter?

Glenn’s Three Down:

3. SP Charlie Morton

Four hits and five walks over five innings including four earned runs in his lone start. If there was something nice to be said, it would be said.

2. SP Dean Kremer

He gave up eight hits and a walk over 4.2 innings against the Diamondbacks, including three home runs. Gross start to the season.

1. 2B Jackson Holliday

Kinda hard to hide from an 0-17 with four strikeouts. There was some decent defense in there, I guess.

Griffin’s Three Down:

3. SP Dean Kremer

He was bad. I’m confident he will be better.

2. 2B Jackson Holliday

Frankly, didn’t even realize he was 0-for-17 on the week until Sunday. You can’t do that, but similarly, I’m still far more encouraged with him than others, competitive at-bats, hard hit balls…

1. SP Charlie Morton

Not encouraged whatsoever here. And we’re actually paying this guy money, so yeah he lands at #1 for me (again). Such are major disappointment.

Here’s a look at the season-long standings. Scoring is simple: 3 points awarded to the top player in ‘Three Up’ each week (then 2 points and 1 point), -3 points for the top player in ‘Three Down’ each week (then -2 points and -1 point):
