Canó’s #NOBLETIGER Against Rays Finally Gets Him On The #ManOfTheMatch Board But Sadly, No One Else Joins Him From The Weekend

As you’re almost certainly aware, after every Orioles win this season, Glenn determines a “Man Of The Match,” which some have called “the highest honor in all of sports.”

In addition to the social media recognition, the player’s face also goes into a featured position on our “Never Lose Ever” board in the studio.

We recently received requests to keep an updated tally of how many “Man Of The Match” nods each player has received for the season. We’ll keep that tally here and update it regularly.

The internet’s “#NOBLETIGER” stat is actually supposed to be derogatory for the team that comes up empty, the acronym “No-Outs Bases-Loaded Ending with Team Incapable of Getting Easy Run.” But for Yennier Canó, that was a very good thing as his high-wire act protected the Orioles shutout win over the Rays Seot. 6. He was rewarded with his first #MOTM of the season and, sadly, no one else joined him during the weekend series.

Here’s the tally for the season:

Grayson Rodriguez – 7
Corbin Burnes – 5
Gunnar Henderson – 5
Anthony Santander – 5
Albert Suarez – 5
Zach Eflin – 4
Cole Irvin – 4
Dean Kremer – 4

Adley Rutschman – 4
Jordan Westburg – 4
Cedric Mullins – 3
