Glenn and Griffin continue our Monday tradition for the 2024 baseball season Monday on GCR with ‘Three Up and Three Down’ where we rank the best and worst Orioles performers of the week, much like how we do with Pats on the Ass and Slaps to the Helmet during football season after Ravens games. The guys will each name three players, three trending up, three trending down, based on how they did for that week specifically. This week we look back on a 3-3 week against the Dodgers and Rockies.

Glenn’s Three Up:
3. 3B Ramon Urias
Obviously he has been awesome and it’s a terrible time to lose him.
2. RP Gregory Soto
Four appearances. Four scoreless innings. Two total baserunners. Five strikeouts. This is a WILD turn of events.
1. SP Zach Eflin
There is a non-zero chance that a player acquired in late July might end up being Orioles MVP.
Griffin’s Three Up:
3. SP Big Albert Suárez
Where would this team be without him? Seriously. This was going to be Greg Soto before Eflin’s start, or even Eloy Jimenez just because of vibes.
2. SP Zach Eflin
The team’s best player in the second half, it’s not close.
1. 3B Ramón Urías
Tremendous week, and a tremendous loss.
Glenn’s Three Down:
3. RP Craig Kimbrel
There’s really no justifying his roster spot at this point.
2. SS Gunnar Henderson
He was going to be number one on this list right until he came away with a pair of RBI hits on Sunday. Hopefully that’s a sign of him breaking out of the funk that still saw him OPS just .382 for the week.
1. C Adley Rutschman
He did take three walks this week, so he has that going for him. Which is nice. Everything else, not so much.
Griffin’s Three Down:
3. C Adley Rutschman
Gunnar avoids the list, driving in a couple yesterday and actually contributing to run production. But Adley, brutal stuff this week, hard to even believe that he managed to get on-base five times.
2. SP Cade Povich
Glad he got to fulfill his dream of pitching at Dodger Stadium, that’s about all I can say.
1. RP Craig Kimbrel
I mean Jesus Christ. I was wrong, I thought the old Craig Kimbrel might still be in there, he’s not. He won’t be on a postseason roster, may not be on any roster in 2025.
