In effort to introduce me to movies that Glenn says I “definitely should have seen by now”, I will dive into a classic film per Glenn’s request from time to time and report my findings back on the show.
Today I went over the 1988 Summer classic, ‘The Great Outdoors’, directed by Howard Deutch starring John Candy, Dan Aykroyd and Annette Bening. Very much enjoyed the film, scene after scene is memorable, just a great, feel-good, Summer family movie. My official rating: 7.6/10
Overall rankings (subject to change):
1. Tommy Boy – 9.4
2. Wedding Crashers – 9.3
3. Forgetting Sarah Marshall – 8.5
4. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off – 8.4
5. The Great Outdoors – 7.6
6. Can’t Hardly Wait – 7.3
7. Road Trip – 7.0
