As you’re almost certainly aware, after every Orioles win this season, Glenn determines a “Man Of The Match,” which some have called “the highest honor in all of sports.”
In addition to the social media recognition, the player’s face also goes into a featured position on our “Never Lose Ever” board in the studio.
We recently received requests to keep an updated tally of how many “Man Of The Match” nods each player has received for the season. We’ll keep that tally here and update it regularly.
Maybe I should have switched it to Cionel Perez but I decided to stick with Corbin Burnes as #ManOfTheMatch for the Orioles’ July 25 win over the Marlins. He delivered a huge 7.1 innings, allowing just three runs and and seven baserunners. It was his fourth #MOTM of the season.
Here’s the tally for the season:
Grayson Rodriguez – 7
Gunnar Henderson – 5
Corbin Burnes – 4
Cole Irvin – 4
Jorge Mateo – 4
Albert Suarez – 4
Jordan Westburg – 4
Ryan Mountcastle – 3
